Disliked by many, loved by few. Does that sound about right? Happier now than I have been for a long while, here are a few random facts about me, in no particular order.
I’m a mum to 4 crazy, lovely, perfect kids
I left my husband in 2012 after 15 years of being together for a number of reasons, none of which I’ll talk about publicly, no matter how nicely you ask.
I am trying to keep fit, I hate the gym but enjoy running and cycling.
I love cake, which cancels out the point above and means I’ll probably never be skinny.
I’ve learned that one way to truly know who you are is to have nothing, and still make something out of it. It’s maybe not the BEST way to go about it but it does work!
I’m a proud member of BNI, I believe that sleep is for wimps and networking has taught me a lot about confidence and commitment.
I am mental to be on my own with 4 kids and a million animals but I actually don’t care.
I used to own a magazine publishing business that failed. Of course there is more to it than that but that’s the short version. It made me who I am now. I am hugely proud of most of what I did with the company, utterly embarrassed about the mistakes I made but on the whole I don’t regret it. Much. It taught me a hell of a lot.
Now I work part time for someone else and full time as a freelance creative person. I love my job (s) but wish they bought in more money between them!
Comments here are moderated. If you haven’t got anything nice to say then go somewhere else. There are tonnes of other blogs where you can slag me off to your hearts content. This isn’t one of them. If you’re here because you hate me then welcome, have a read, get to know me a little bit more. But be respectful, this is my space and I won’t have people traipsing through here just to throw insults around. Ditto for “well meaning” advice. I’m not interested. Yawn.
